Nameplate - ID plate Looking for a source to make

Postby BILLYL » Thu Jan 21, 2010 8:01 am

All-

My brother an I make reproduction WWII field radios. What I am looking for is someone that can make the identification plates that go on the radio.

The orginals were silk screened on metal. And trying to reproduce that look. The main plate is about 2" x 4" and the smaller plate is 1/2" x 1"

I have the artwork and can produce it in a variety of software output.

The run for the first batch would be about 26 pieces of each.id plate

So if you know anyone that can do this - or just make me a silk screen - let me know. Please pass along the info.

Thanks

Bill

Try a awards or trophy shop.

If I understand your post correctly the printing on the metal is done by a process called "sublimation"...if that's the case then yes, as suggested any trophy shop should be able to do that.

There's a guy on this forum who just volunteered to make a laser engraved badge for the kampster. I'll find the link...

Edit:
It's near the bottom of page 14 of this build journal

As a re-enactor myself, I'ld sure like to see a picture of the radios.
