Colorado members?

Does anyone live in or near Colorado Springs, or Manitou Springs?
Or between Burlington and Colorado Springs?
(We're coming in on I-70 from Illinois).

My son and I are trying to plan a 2010 summer motorcycle trip to your state.
(Wish it was a teardrop trip...maybe another year...gotta go with the kids doing things they like before they get too busy with their own lives...)

Anyway, we're looking for a safe place to rent to leave our pickup and trailer for 10 days (Trailer is low flatbed, not a covered trailer).
A back yard, driveway, in the street, a storage lot, doesn't really matter as long as the area is reasonably secure.
Truck and trailer are in very good condition, no rusty junk neighbors would object to.
Motorcycles are not loud and obnoxious either... and could be unloaded/loaded away from your location if needed.
Just need a place to park.

What is the length of your trailer. We have possibilities in Colorado Springs and Canon City. Just need more information.

Hi Molly,

The trailer is 19' long total including the tongue, and the truck/SUV is about 17'

The trailer can easily be unhooked and parked away from the truck if needed.

It is starting to look like we may have to do this trip the summer of 2011 instead of this year, but I would still be most pleased to get things lined up now.
Details are important!
I can sent photos too if needed.

Molly,

Thanks!

I was all set to go this year! :applause:
(Phantom Canyon is one of my favorite places in the world...)

My son asked me to plan a Colorado trip after we did a big trip out to Wyoming in 08.
But after he saw the cost for this one, he asked if we could bump it up a year so he could save up a little more.
I'm sad, but I understand the reality.
So, I'll contact you this coming fall/winter to see if the offer is still good, and then we can get the details worked out!

We will be glad to help when the time comes. Phantom Canyon is just up the road from me and a beautiful drive. Good to be able to support your travels with your son, certainly memorable times for both of you. We will wait to hear from you.
Happy other travels and teardropping this summer!

Thank you Molly!

Our Colorado trip will now be so much better because we know "teardrop" people there!

I appreciate your kind wishes. :)
