Any Recommendations for a Low Tech Cell Phone for Seniors.

Must be Very, very Low Tech, no bells and whistles, big numbers and easy to use.

I've got 2 parents in there upper 80's and although I'm with them 12-13 hours a day they are still alone the other half of the day.

Make & Models Please.

Thanks in advance.

Happy Trails

Len

Len, Jitterbug advertises that their phones have bigger buttons, louder ring tones, and you can turn off features to keep them very simple.

I have a friend who isn't chronologically gifted, but wanted a low-tech phone that doesn't have cameras or other extras. He has a Jittebug phone and loves it.

Len Jitterbug is the best! My MIL has one and she's 72 with the start of Alzheimers. Its easy for her to use and we programed the numbers in for her and all she has to do is flip it open and say who she wants and it dials us. If she doesn't want to use that all she has to do is use the arrow down and find who she wants, hit the select ( middle button) and she's calling. Very easy and very affordable too!

Thanks all.

I was looking at the "Jutterbug" but really wanted to hear a little more from users.

Its a tough position to be in.

My Mom & Dad are so Low TECH THAT THERE STILL IMPRESSED WHEN THEY OPEN THE Fridge and the light comes on. (key stuck)

Anything more than 2 operations and there totally confused.

thanks

 Len I heard Kim Kamando discuss this and she suggested one of the phones for children. You can pre-set the numbers and limit other options... Keeps them from accidentally dialing china.

I'm lucky, so far. Dad and mom are 79 and 76. Dad has a MacBook Pro and an iPhone, mom has a 24-inch iMac, plus a MacBook that she downloads and reads books on. She wants an iPad for Christmas.
