As long as mine keeps out the wind, water, cold and heat - I really don't care what others think about the paint job - if they don't like it - then pay me $$$ and do it how ever you like 8) seems like everyone is a critic until they have to spend their own $$$ :eyebrows:

Like my Dad would say-

"It looks real good from the basement" and he was a master joiner by trade.

One day you'll take care of the runs and the slight imperfections. And I know exactly how you feel - when you appraoch the Tear - all you see are all the flaws - yet your friends and family can't believe "HOW GREAT THIS IS! - Looks Great!"

I suggest that you sit back and enjoy it!

Have Fun

I wish paint sags were the only sags I had to deal with. I just now realized all my trailers are older than me and all of them have held up better. Don't know why but I guess I'll think about it over a third donut.

Someone told me once that, "you as the builder know & remember every mistake & imperfection; most folks however never see 'em unless/until you point 'em out." I tend to agree with him, only very obvious mistakes are visible to the casual observer. Enjoy what you've done & don't worry too much if someone critiques your effort.

 The great thing about this group is that most of us have 'been there'. It's not so much that we are being polite as it is that we understand. We know how much effort goes into building one of these beauties and that we all have 'spots' that we wish were better. We aren't perfect and neither is anything we do or make....It's not supposed to be perfect. (Wouldn't that be boring?) Even Mother Nature is always modifying the mountains, streams and valleys that she created and we view as 'done' and 'perfect'.

The 'bad spots' in mine drive me a little crazy too and I'm not even done yet!
The home-built trailer is supposed to be unique and serviceable and make the owner happy. So, please be happy and enjoy your creation. :beautiful: You can fiddle with little defects at some later date, maybe when it's raining or the snow flies.

You can use a razor scraper to get runs out. Then sand the areas so they don't build up... ;) If you really feel the need.

My TD passes the 50-50 test -- looks good at 50 feet or 50 miles per hour. ;)

Now, stop worrying about your paint, and go camping.

Imperfections can be beneficial. Just think, if ownership or home built issues are ever disputed only you can identify all the little flaws from construction. Enjoy your camper you built it for yourself.
