Need a little help

Postby honeask » Sun Dec 26, 2010 2:32 pm

I am a collector of "sayings", I know it's WEIRD! Someone on the forum had a sign off saying about "It you wait to do something or put off doing something then you will be too old and wonder why you never did it. Does anyone remember seeing that? I have given it a good hour and a half of looking on the forum and can't find it now. Does anyone know the one I'm talking about? Anyway if you can help thanks but while you are at it....what is your favorite sign off saying, there is some really good ones on this forum, sign of some thinking or thoughtful people. :D

Sandy, you are not weird. One of the things we often do around the camp fire when we TD is throw them out and about and share 'em. I've collected them over the years too...enough to do a Readers Digest condensed version. So just know you are in good company.
We also love to do limericks, spoonerisms, and local idioms. And a few others come to mind too.

I'll sign off with one that has really been relevant to me as an educator.
Blessed are the flexible for they shall never be bent out of shape.

Of course, there is this one by 48Rob: Waiting for "someday" will leave you on your deathbed wondering why you didn't just rearrange your priorities and enjoy the time you had, instead of waiting for a "better" time to come along...

YAY! Thanks mikeschn, you found it for me. Hopefully I will act on all my desires before my memory robs me of them all. Please keep sending them, sometimes I print out a few and put by my mirror to remind me of things I'm not smart enough to think up on my own.

Interesting that so many tag lines are along the same theme. I think that says alot about a good number of the good folk here.
