Evel Knievel became popular when I was 11 or 12. I thought I was pretty good on a bicycle.

Watch this guy!

That was mostly Scotland... and mostly rare sunshiney weather... simply beautilful cinema/videography... stunning landscapes... brilliant bike handling skills.

:applause:

I think he's bicycle trials-rider-gone-freestyle.

Thanks for that link, Rob!

I remember those Evel Knievel days. As a kid I use to jump ramps on my bike until one day I wiped out and ruptured my spleen. I spent 2 weeks in the hospital because of that.

Nice video ... very impressive (riding, cinematography, location, etc. etc.)

Similar riding style, very different scenery, and with motorcycles.

The first time I saw trails riding was in the movie "On Any Sunday" 1971 with Steve McQueen. But back then the bikes had seats. By then I had moved from a pedal bike to a Kawasaki Trail Boss. Found the boss to be much more forgiving than my very first cycle. It was a 441 BSA Victor. Sure would love to have either of those bikes back. Fun Stuff. Thanks for the lift.

The thing with Danny McAskill is that he sounds such a nice guy as well - he must have a big enough ego to try these things, but it doesn't sound like it.

What I don't understand is what spokes does he have in his rear wheel? I would think he'd need at least 1/4" diameter!

Hey, I tried that once when I was just a punk kid. I did my great jump-down-a-stairway trick, when the front wheel fell out of the front fork, (wheel axle nuts were loose) and I did a header, right on my nose. All I got from my Dad was........"What a dumb thing to do, now you probably know better, right?"
