Christmas decorations

Postby ERV » Thu Dec 30, 2010 5:31 pm

Now that the hustle and bustle is almost over, thought everyone that decorated their houses could show us a picture or two. Here is ours.
Hope you all had a nice Christmas! And a better new year for all of us!!

I was wondering why the water balloon was getting bigger... and then it hit me.

I used to do up my house really nice every year, , but now, I don't own one single Christmas decoration. I gladly let the ex-wife have them.

When I was married, it took days to put up all the decorations, and days to take them down, pack them up, and stuff them back in the attic.

As HOA president for three years, I also had the pleasure of knocking on doors around March to request that they take down their Christmas lights -- a result of the other pleasure of taking complaint calls from other homeowners.

I do like what you did with your house, Erv and Jan. Very warm. Very tastefully done.

Very nice. I didn't take any of the inside yet, Don't know if the site has enough room for what Janny does inside  I will put a few up though, she loves this time of year. I do have a few of Macs(her cat) helping her wrap.

Shooting christmas lights at twilight was a good idea. It's what I would have done.

OK get ready, I got bored and took a few of the inside Janny did. The ones with the cat in them is for you Mark. Those are my two boys, Tim and Jay. The plates on the shelfs of Santa were painted by my Mom.

The Santa plate above our mantle was painted by my grandmother. I wish I had more. :(

Mark
After Mom got into it she painted us all one plate every year that was different. They moved to fl. And were down there for 22 years. Didn't get to see them to much. But she did become a really good painter. Her plates would sell in the hundreds. They moved back to Ohio about 8 years ago. Both are gone now, but she left us with about 600 plates she had done for herself. I could fill all the walls in our house and wouldn't have to paint any more.
