OK, You may or maynot have heard of GIMP and may have tried it even. But now there is a version that is almost a clone of PhotoShop and it is free.

Check it out

Love 'the GIMP' as it is, but this branch of it is good to see since there are so many PS users who don't give the GIMP a shot because of the interface.

 I have a new computer and my old photo program wouldn't work with the new system so just the other night I down loaded GIMP2. Been playing with it off and on just trying to learn every thing it does. One thing, it's not as simple as what my 'Picture-it' was. :? But I'm finding that it does so much more and once I get a handle on it, I will most likely enjoy working with it.

There is another that its quite good for basic editing( not as good as the gimp), but covers for many basics, viewing for a wide range of formats, crop, add text, edit, red eye, etc...
