Same idea as the Kaiser Darrin.

Their doors pushed forward into a pocket in the front fender. Still useful for those tiny parking places at Target.

My first true love had a Kaiser Darin, and is fiberglass, straight six with overdrive as I remember. Came out the same year as the Corvette. I am BTW married to my second true love.
