...we quit smoking!!! ecig pics, now on pg4

Postby madjack » Wed Sep 14, 2011 10:42 am

...after a 3ppd 40 yr addiction, I have kicked the funkarettes(Marlene too)...we did so with the use of Personal Vaporizers(e-cigarettes to the uninitiated)...One month ago today, Marlene quit with her first vape (vaping is what PV users do instead of smoking)...I took 5 days and 14 cigs to finally quit...what you see advertised on TV or sold at gas stations, liquor stores and cigarette shops are straight up rip offs...just like those who come here for info, I found http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ and got the lowdown on what to use...I bought Riva501 Lite starter kits from Liberty Flights along with a few other accessories and liquids from a couple of other vendors...quitting was easy and painfree and the BEST thing I have ever done for my health...if you're interested, ask me or goto the e-cigarette forum...where you will find me being me..........

I have alot of bad habits. I'm so thankful that smoking was never one of them. Not sure I could break it.

Giving up the smokey treats is tough but worth it.

...if the gods had meant man to be vegan...they wouldn't have made meat just so darn tasty...never saw a vegan who looked healthy...on the outside anyway :o ;) ......

...actually, using the PVs to quit the funkies was not a problem at all...they maintain the hand/mouth thing along with the nic...they just eliminate the 4000+ chemicals and tar from burning paper and leaves...I would never imagined it would be so easy!!!!!!!

I'm happy for y'all MJ... I know quitting is a boogie, because I did it myself about 6 years ago after smoking for 12 years... But I have to say quitting for me is up high on my list of best things I have done in my life..

Good for you! It will only get better and better from here on out.
Three packs a day for 40 years! Let's see, ~$5/pack = savings of at least $15/day
$15 x 30 = $450/month
$450 x 12 = $5400/year in savings
You could do some nice updates on your trailer for $5,400.
$5,400 will buy a lot of gas for your travels.

...just to be clear...we are now "vapers" and no longer smoke...the vapor, we are inhaling, is proven to be, at a minimum, 1400% safer than what you inhale with a funkarette...right now, I am vaping a killer peach brandy flavor(with nic init)...my "smeller" has come back and the wheezing in my chest has disappeared and the poor girl has quit snoring(did I say that) and her blood pressure has gone down...as far as I can tell and my research(extensive) has shown me, nothing but good can come from this.................

I smoked 3ppd and the poor girl did 1ppd...we payed, 3bux per pack and figure it at around 5000bux per year...that is a pretty good car note, travel expenses and a whole lotta other stuff...it cost us 30bux per kit(we bought 3) plus, another 100bux, worth of accessories and juice to start...to continue vaping, the expense for juice and other expendables will run around 20bux per week Vs the 90 bux per week we were spending so, the saving will be significant...that is only the face, monetary value...the health savings are incalculable...........

I am so proud of you both. I never smoked but Gene and 2 of our boys did and it was a hard thing for them to quit. They are all a lot healthier and feel much better. Good luck!

Wow! That is amazing.
Put me in the camp that is ecstatic for both of you. Congratulations!
Still graced with two eyes and ten fingers (due in no small part to luck!).
