Optical Character Recognition Software

Postby Daniel Bernoulli » Fri Sep 23, 2011 11:08 am

I need to scan and edit quite a few documents. The OCR software that came with my scanner is worthless. What OCR software do you recommend, and what are the hardware requirements? Free is good, but I am willing to pay if the software is superior to everything that is free. Thank you.

Find out what the USPS has used for 30 years. It can read the god awfullest handwriting.

Don't they teach penmanship anymore?

I haven't used this, but have heard good things about it.

Fortunately, my HP all-in-one printer has very good scan quality.
