How do I mark posts "read"

Postby CARS » Wed Feb 22, 2012 1:18 pm

Not sure if that is the right term. But before the update, if I left the forum and then came back, it would show which threads had a new post added.

Now when I come back they are all lit up even though nobody has posted in days.

Is there something I need to do in the control panel? Cause I can't find anything. Some forums have a icon you click on to "mark all forums read".

I too don't like the way it does now. You can however, mark posts as read. After you've finished on the board, go back to the 'Board Index' page & in the upper right corner above the first forum (Notices) there's a 'Mark Forums Read' entry. I just left click on that when I'm done & it changes all the 'red' high lighted titles to blue.

I liked the old board where when I left for another site or just went to another browser page, everything was automatically changed & when I returned only new posts made since I left were high lighted...

I simply go to the 'Board Index'; and, under that, I click on 'View New Posts'. Then, the only things that show are new posts. I didn't even know about the "read" posts thingie; so, you just taught me something new. Thanks! :D

Like Nobody said, you can click on the "Mark Forums Read" on the upper right hand part of the screen. That will change all the icons to blue.

Then new posts will have a red icon when you come back!
