Boy me too! I sure worry about all our friends down in the path of those storms. I live in "Tornado Alley", but those things (for all the damage they do) are only a mile to 5 miles wide at the most. They can certainly travel a long way, but one's chances of being hit are fairly limited. I do worry about them. I'll be anxious to hear they are all okay.

We haven't heard from Nubwon in Lake Charles and Charles & Linda (Cocoa Cola Teardrop) in Lufkin. I think those guys really got it from Rita.

Some people will hate to hear this but we got absoultely no rain from Rita. Saturday was a little windy but otherwise it was a beautiful weekend except it was really hot (108 today). I'm shure Inks would have just as nice and maybe not as hot.

I e-mailed Charles and Linda the day before Rita hit. Haven't heard back from them yet, either. Sure hope all is well with them.

Also haven't seen anything out of Greg "Backwoodsman" in Jacksonville, TX. He could have gotten some pretty bad weather up there also. Shure hope they are all doing OK.

Are you sure he included "luck" in there?

Hey everyone.
Here for a second at work. Thanks for wondering about us. Your prayers helped.
Greg (Backwoodsman) called and checked on us yesterday (Sunday)
We were very fortunate. 2 trees down and that's about it. No power in 2 1/2 days. Charles is on road most of the time. Greg didn't have any problems. We still don't have power. Charles slept in tear last night. I think all 3 of us will tonight.
Will be back online when I can.
Have been wondering about Madjack and the teardropper in Lake Charles.
Take care, Chat later.
Linda

I recieved a PM from Madjack early on the 24th. He said it hadn't really reached him yet, winds were only up to about 35mph at the time. He wasn't worried about flooding because he said his house sat up on a hill. He was concerned about, as he put it... "hurricanados" with lots of trees being in the area.
Let's hope and pray that he is just lacking electricity. :worship:

Sorry guys, I didn't see this thread until now.

We were really lucky. :worship: had lots of high winds and some hard rain, but not the 20" they predicted.....only about 3" we dodged a major bullet. We have some debris in the yard, but no trees down. We never lost power.
Thanks for asking,
Greg

Glad to hear all our Southern Teardroppers are emerging ok. Haven't heard anything from Randy Chestnut yet and how about Taralyn, and let's not forget TheMajor.

Madjack,
Glad to see you made it through OK!
We are still waiting to hear from nubwon and Charles Ipes.
I haven't seen Larwyn either... Mapquest shows him as being just a tad bit North of Houston, but he is out in the sticks.
