Love the Olympics and look forward to 2016. My question is...Will the "summer" Olympics in Rio still be held in August?

No they will be moved to another time because that is the hottest time in Rio, One of the last [ieces Bob Costas did on the closing night was talking about it but I can't remember when they will move it to.

They are scheduled to be held from August 5 to 21, 2016, which makes them the first Summer Olympiad to actually be held during the winter. However, since Rio de Janeiro is inside the tropics this period will not see the cold winter weather associated with more polar latitudes.
