A friend and I were discussing last night about the End of the World
I was wondering what everyone else's take on it was
I don't want to start any heated arguments just thought might be a good of place as any to talk about how you feel in regards to December 21-23 2012 are you secretly packing a survival bag are you going to end of the world party's , is it just another day or is this new news to you

Besides that, how many Mayans have you seen lately? Why would we believe predictions from a people that couldn't even predict (and avoid) their own demise? It's like letting a street bum pick lotto numbers for you...

Harold Camping was his name. And he was right, partly. It was the end of the world for all the old ladies that gave him their life savings. Good old Harold owns about 6 radio stations and needed a little boost in ratings and revenue. I wonder if Harold gave anybody their money back, I doubt it.

Steer clear of anybody on tv who says "Trust Me". What a joke.

When Laurie was taking her enviromental health biology class they studied the Mayans. They are an interesting study in those terms because the Mayans had a civilization with cities as large as New York City. The Mayans died out fairly quickly from a plague caused by their inability to come up with some sort of basic sanitary sewer system. they died of a plague cause by their own crap.

So much for Mayan wisdom.

What if the Myan Calandar ended because they simply "Ran out of Paper", or had a Labor Dispute?

What is truly amazing is the accuracy of the Mayan calendar, and that it ends is as most Mayans would have said 'get your own **** calendar.

If it does end we hope it is at midnight. December 21, 2012 is my oldest sons 30th birthday. My daughter in law is planning on an end of the world birthday party.
However I am not giving all my money away or quitting my new job just in case we wake up on the 22nd and the world is still here.
I never understood why someone would give all their money away to someone else just because the end of the world is here. What are they going to do with it?

Nope, the end isn't neer. neither is it near.
I'm making plans to be at Walk The Winds 2013 this summer.
I've never been further east than Ronan, Montana. So for me this will be a major road trip.
