Sorry Slow, but I'm not going to settle for your ignorance any more as it belittles my intelligence as a human being to be reading the mangled mess of the English language, Sure, we all spell things wrong sometimes, but yours is starting to get ridiculous.

C'mon Steve, have you learnt nothing from Hollywood? You know that calves can only be born if there's a natural disaster going on. So either it has to be the next big blizzard or it'll have to wait for the spring flash floods :)

Good luck, Slow

God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
The courage to change the things I can,
And wisdom to know the difference.

I think Slow's composition skills are covered in the first line.

Cheers,

Gus

When I logged off last night, I was appalled at some of the comments that were being posted.
The "Glass House" scenario makes sense and I'm glad to see a little kinder, more understanding attitude.
Thanks, I knew you were all better than that. :)

I apologize if I offended any one, but I was trying to make a point, and as long as it was understood. Then I think, We all learned something and that someone had to throw the first stone but as we soon found out it did become bit of a land slide, I do not want to be a bully or perceived as one, I just was at my breaking point and for that, I am truly sorry....Slow from me to you, I apologize for the hurtful words that I said, I thought that I was trying to help you to be a better person and to help you in your situation.

Slow, you must have really bad luck with a few cows as they don't all die while giving birth nor do they need the farmer to be there to give birth. It's a natural thing and mother nature takes it's course one way or another.
On a herd of 200 we experience a 1% death rate when calving and that's just the way it was.
The vet was always on call but there's times when nothing can be done.
Sometimes the way you exaggerate farming makes me shake my head.

I'm going to guess that his herd is much smaller and therefore, One death represents a much higher percentage of the whole. Not really an exaggeration when you look at it that way.

It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue

A checker is a bless sing,

Eye trussed to bee a joule;
The checker pours o'er every word,
To cheque sum spelling rule.

Be fore a veiling checkers
Hour spelling mite decline,
And if were lacks or have a laps,
We wood be maid to wine.

Butt now bee cause my spelling

Their are know faults with in my cite,
Of non eye am a wear.

Now spelling does knot phase me,
It does knot bring a tier.
My pay purrs awl due glad den with wrapped words fare as hear.

To rite with care is quite a feet
Of witch won should be proud.
And wee mussed dew the best wee can,
Sew flaws are knot aloud.

Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar write
It shows me strait a weigh.

As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rarely ever wrong.

Sow ewe can sea why aye dew prays
Such soft ware four pea seas.
And why I brake in two averse
By righting want too pleas.

Eye have run this poem threw it

Back to the thread: I had an uncle who raised a few head of cattle, like Slow. A couple dozen head. He never did more, because he figured that he lost, on average, $10 per head. He raised them because he loved them, but figured he could only justify so much for love. When you have a small herd, a single loss can make the difference between making money and losing money for the year. I hope your new girl does well for you, Slow.
