We've all heard that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. I thought that I would put a spin on it and start a game. Begin with the phrase, "Teardrop insanity is ______." Then you fill in the blank anything you can think of that relates.

I'll start: Teardrop insanity is thinking you are going to camp undisturbed in a teardrop

Invaribly, I would get guests who want a tour of the camper.

....reading and note taking from this forum for a year before starting our build
....driving our newly built trailer from Pa to Michigan to get wood, aluminum, doors, etc. from Frank Bear
(straight out and back).
....yamping with the dog before the hatch was secure.
....going camping with hatch 2 "bungeed" ( spring back..yup every mistake possible, including three hatches! )
....being ecstatic with son's Christmas present to me...black rims and moon hubcaps.
....obsessively planning the first trip this year.

For me it is turning off the bedroom light, pulling the covers up under my chin and trying to fall asleep at night, while trying to figure out how things are going to operate without binding or breaking, on my next build. It seems to work fairly well on paper, but the cereal box model, needs some tweeking and refining. After all, a TD only 24 inches high and 4 ft long, has some engineering problems that this old woodworker is still trying to figure out. (Lets see, remove the bike from the roof, lift up, tip out, slide out, and then, goodnight all!)
