Eddie, get one and let us all know how well it works. I assume the batteries are charged by the solar panel. That would work on both the Scotsman and the Del Mar. Good find but only a 'Two year warranty' for a cost of $112 :QM

Have a good day.

P.S. Hey Eddie, you going to be at Rivernook next weekend?

Verrrry Interessstinnnnng....It supposedly moves 50% more air at less than 1/4th the cost. I wonder how good it is. And it is leak proof?

Dale, it looks like it only works in sunlight...no battery component to it...the other unit claims to work 48hrs on a pair of rechargeable batteries and will intake or exhaust and has an OFF switch...I guess it depends on just what you want it for,...powered ventilation day or night or just to remove hot air during the day

I didn't really read the details did I? I wonder if you could retrofit it with a set of rechargeable batteries and an on-off switch? I wonder if it would need any other cirtuitry for the charging?

That's right, I remember you saying something last month. Have a good family get together.

Enjoy,

I had a couple solar vents on my sailboat. Used them to keep the lazarette dry. Mine had no batteries, only ran when it was daylight, but that was good, it didn't pull in damp night air, after all it was for keeping the lockers dry so strange stuff wouldn't start growing on my stuff.... and they worked well
