Hey Chris-

I hope you counted me!!!!! Even though I know that there are several teardrops here in Oklahoma, I never see them on the road or while camping. The only time I have ever seen one was when I was in Kentucky doing the big garage sale in August. A bunch of hot rodders passed us on the interstate going the other way, and one had a teardrop. It gave me a little thrill just to see it. Apparently, I have a boring life.

No, I didn't count you. I was only counting the four on-line at the time I posted. Just thought it was interesting we had 25% of the board! 8) Sure wish we had more people in Oklahoma building and using tears. I'm not much of a "groupie", but an ocassional weekend nearby with fellow teardroppers would be fun.

I'm headed to the Talimena Drive area in the morning for a weekend of tent camping. Plan on doing some dayhikes and looking forward to cooking all our meals in the new dutch oven. Originally I'd planned on taking it to make a dessert one night, but the more we talked about it, the more of our menu "required" the dutch oven. I think the only thing we'll be using the Coleman stove for is making coffee and heating water to wash dishes and bodies!

It would be fun to have the teardrop and meet people there. Oh well, that's way off in the future. :(

Chris-

That sounds like lots of fun. Fall is my favorite time to camp, and that part of Oklahoma is so pretty. Have lots of fun, and tell us about your camp-out when you get back!

Yeah, Doug, I'm turning into a regular Suzie Homemaker! I'm making a beef stroganoff with steamed asperagus spears on the side, served with a nice red wine. Then the next night I'm planning on a Mexican cassarole, which is really nothing but an enchilada stacked about 6 layers. We'll have some Captain Morgan Select with that. Rum always goes good with Mexican! All kidding aside, it's going to be fun. I've only used the dutch oven the one time to fix a peach cobbler...............but darn it was good! Shame the oven is going to be so busy fixin' dinners!!!!!

Boodro, I may have been mistaken................there may not be that many people here. It's nice and quiet here. Been to Ohio. LOTS of people.....and noisey........and that was back in 1960!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, but the problem is, most of you are on the wrong side of the state. :R

PS>>>> Look for the post about Beavers Bend... Someone suggested a gathering there, next year. I love the idea.

Sorry I didn't catch you in time, Chris but my friend and I were going to go there this weekend and go to the Talihina craft show in town. Don't let your girlfriend miss that. And she called them and the fall colors are late this year, won't be really good for a couple of weeks! darn.

 Wish I had a teardrop!!!! This is just the reason I want one!!! Just hook it up and go... camp inexpensively but then go into town for a festival or craft show, or go on a scenic drive or walk, or .... ah!!!!!

Hey--

Cheryl and I are here in Edmond. Right now we're just teardrop wanna-be's.

We're still trying to decide if we want to buy a new Camp-Inn, possibly a used Camp-Inn or build our own Comet. (The wife is a little apprehensive to turn me loose to build a Comet!!!!).

Hope to make it to the Beavers Bend gathering if tents are allowed with all you Tear Jerkers
