I have long been fascinated by things that are 'the best', of what ever. Strads achieve that in the hands of the masters that play them.

They made their own small string instruments: jarana for rhythm (8 strings) and requinto (5 strings for melody). The elongated shapes of the sound boxes go back to the baroque guitar era, like the Strad.
