Postby Forrest747 » Tue Aug 06, 2013 4:10 pm

I dont know them all that well, ok not at all. But they heard about the trailer and that I built it.

So they want me to build them a Dr. WHo TARDIS.

Im like what are you talking about. so did some research and wow alot of detail. should be fun. If anyone has any adivce or has built one im all up for it

The tricky part is making it small like a call box on the outside, but the size of a large Winnrbago in the inside!

It's a tv show about a time traveler named Dr. Who. His time traveling spaceship looks like a British call box (phone booth) on the outside, but is quite large when you go inside

My thoughts exactly. A lot of detail for sure. Seems simple and they are going to pay for the supplies. She is going to save up for it and that will give me time to plan

Sounds like you need a Dr. Who marathon to get inspiration!

You would also need to build a Dalek to chase them around the universe or just scare the bejesus out of them. Those darned things pop up when you least expect them.

Forest, Here are some free plans for Dr Who's Tardis:

They might help make things a tad easier, rather than having to think up everything.

PS. This website also has plans for building a Dalek.

Oh thanks for the plans i have downloaded alot of pictures of one people have built and some have great ideas on getting the profiles just right. thinking birch plywood and poplar, cheap and takes paint well. also looking at my backporch light that looks just about right for the glass. oh honey we need a new light in the back. two to three weeks and the first panel will be the hardest.
