Build Time

How long did it take you to build yours.

What is the fastest time you have seen someone build a tear.

3 years. But i could of had it done in 6 months if life hadn't intervened,

Nearly two years for us of very part time work.
It was also built in two locations 250 miles apart, a bit of traveling involved.
Six months would have been a realistic expectation.

Take it easy,
RD :)

Less than one month for my initial built. I worked day and night , to be ready for opening weekend of turkey season. My boy got his first bird that weekend

It's hard to say what build time really is. (1) Overall design/construction time: start of concept to putting it in fully outfitted use. (2) Man-hours spent (hands on) in construction: time actually doing the physical labor. (3) This thing is taking over my life time: all of the above, with forum hours, redesigning time, correcting mistakes, boring the coworkers with stories about the build, and obsessing over it all time...all added together. In my case, (1) and (3) are actually the same thing>design start 9/15/11 to road test/weigh-in 8/17/13 (23 months). (2) 10/1/11 to 6/16/13-reconstructing the A/C ducting, reviving the battery, adjusting weight balance delayed the roadtest for 2 months after that. Compared to the builds of the talented, or of old hands at this game, my build was a comedy of errors. But, I believe I want to try my luck on another one....

15 months. Worked for a couple of hours when I got home from work each night and most of the day on Sundays.

I wasn't in a hurry and wanted to do it right.
