New Toy from Wallyworld

Picked this up as an impulse buy. It was just too cute to pass up.

Along with good NiMH recharagables should always have a good screw driver - that is as long as this little cheap toy doesn't go bonkers on me.

I was really suprised at the torque. Drove a 3/4x8 wood screw down flush w/o predrilling. I like the pistol grip better than the straight one.

Pretty neat toy. Might have to check that out. Can never have enough power tools. What did it run ya?
I feel more like I do now than I did when I got here.

Speaking of new toys from Wally World. I picked up an XM radio yesterday for $50. They used to be $100. I'll be cranking up da blues all the way to Florida.

I can also take it out of the car use it in the tear. It'll work with any FM radio.

Those XM radios require a subscription to a satalite feed, Right???

I rarely ever turn a radio on. Get in my wife's car the first think I do is punch the power button off on her radio. Never been much of a music lover. Tried Bluegrass, Blues, Country, Praise and Worship, Gospel, Contemporary Christian of all types. Always ended up enjoying the SILENCE ;)

Only time I listen to a radio is when it awakens me at 5:30 each morning tuned to NPR. Not quite true, When in Atlanta I'll listen to Neal Bortz on Talk radio 750 - He's usually a hoot.

XM is a subscription service that costs $10 - $13/month depending on which subscription package you sign up for.

I LOVE music. But, I can't stand most radio stations these days. Between the short repetitive play lists, obnoxious DJ's and endless inane commercials I can't stand to listen more than a couple hours at a time.

XM has hundereds of channels with every kind of music you can imagine. The radio I bought can be easily moved between vehicles or used indoors with a home adapter kit.

They also have CNN, Fox and the other new channels, weather, trafic, sports, comedy, etc., etc.

Tom, I used to drive a truck over the road running dedicated freight from S.C. to Mi. I have a XM sat. radio and it is great no more dialing around trying to find something good to listen to. I just find a channel I like (nascar 144) never faded or lost except in the mtns. of North Carolinia for just a few seconds..
