Well all is not lost

Since the hurricane tossed my new teardrop build around like a empty beer can (rolled side over side aprox. 20 feet). I would have liked to have seen it happen  I have now looked at it once I got the tree off of it. The tree actually pinned it down from further damage. :worship: It is amazingly intact, beside some damage to the interior from things bouncing around inside. :x The hatch bore the brunt of the damage ( actually did me a favor, I did not like the way it turned out anyway) So all is not lost after all, minor damage excluding the crushed hatch and the lower nose radius skin. The "box" style construction of a teardrop body is so strong that no structural damage or shifting and it is still square like nothing happened. What a relief I don't have to start over. The Gods have a rye sense of humor

That's good news Woody.
Your build already has some history there for sure.

Good to hear the damage was minimal. :applause:

Must have been all that good glue you used huh?

What kind did ya use ?

Good commercial footage for the glue company maybe??

Seriously good luck on the repairs.

Woody.........................if you had just sent it to me as I suggested.....................

Seriously, I'm glad the damage wasn't any worse. I was really worried about you and your two tears. Thank God things weren't worse.

Thanks guys for the concern. This is the first chance I have had to look at it since the storm. I was really kind of dreading to see the interior. I had a Bosch 10 inch sliding compound mitre saw inside with some other tools. The saw didn't damage to much, however it did get damaged Oh Well.

I used Liquid Nails, like said before, it's the box style construction that saved the day. This type of construction is very strong, apparently stronger than I even imagined  The other Teardrop made it through with flying colors. I had thought it was a goner also it did move about a foot inside it's liitle shelter though

I need to find some Hurricane emblems or decals and stick them on both of them like they due on fighter jets for kills. That is 7 storms for the first one and 3 for the new one and a tumble

I am just glad that it survived Chip. I had way too much time in it to start over again. As for the name I hadn't thought that far ahead yet, it will have to be something that fits the storm. I am open for suggestions however. Maybe a contest to name it?

I stencil a little Teardrop on mine for every get to gether we attend, kind of like the "kills'. It kind of goes with my Military theme. Maybe an "I survived" list by storm name would work. See you in Feb.

Geesh....

Well lets see... if that causes the thread to disintegrate into a flame war, yea, we'll pull it...

But I don't think any one is going to call that a discussion on politics, religion or sex.. PRS for short...

But we'll watch it for you Kerry!
