Glad to have you back, Geron..................and glad you're getting back on your feet. Take time with the posts. A lot has happened in the last week. Just kick back and enjoy.
Chris :D

Wow! A friend of mine had that a year ago. Quite an operation. Do as they say and take er easy. Hope all goes way better than they expect and you are feeling much better after the initial healing is underway.

We will be checking on you! :ok:

Take Care... It is good that you came through the ordeal and are on the road to recovery.... Concentrate on you and your family, and what is important to you. Keep on the sunny side of life!

Life is precious...

Somehow I think you already know all that I said and a whole lot more... but I wanted you to know I'm thinking of you.

Get Well Geron.

Welcome back. Actually, that's probably lay off the fatback (we are in Georgia).

I spend my days talking nutrition to fellas with new zippers in their chests.

A healthy recovery

Postby Guy » Tue Nov 15, 2005 12:03 pm

Dear Geron,

May you be blessed with a healthy recovery. I know what you are feeling.I had a quadruple 2 1/2 years ago.

So take your time. Don't push yourself too hard. The pain goes away and the need for percoset diminshes fast. Get your butt into a cardiac rehab program where you live. It is a lot easier when you are with other people who went through the same thing- and a lot more fun, since everyone starts to joke about it and the shared sense of humor really speeds the recovery. You don't get to complain since everyone is in the same boat. I am still in contact with the guys I went through cardiac rehab with. We still laugh at some of the "fun" times had in rehab.
Regards,

Guy

"Just kick back and enjoy."
Good advice Chris. Kinda had to do that for a while.

"I suppose this means you're gonna have to lay off the sourguhm, eh? "
 You just had to bring that up didn't you, Dean  Yep, plus a lot of other things.

"I spend my days talking nutrition to fellas with new zippers in their chests. "
Gail, Fatback, never much of a problem but SALT, That's another issue.

"I am still in contact with the guys I went through cardiac rehab with. We still laugh at some of the "fun" times had in rehab."

Already made up my mind to hit the rehab in our local hospital, Guy. So fortunate to have one only 5 minutes away.

Now about my tear. Got it's first dose of rain a few day ago (more expected this weekend). I wasn't quite ready for that but in my "brisk" 10 walk today, I dropped by to check on her. NO WATER or stains noted inside. I still need to install the rain gutters but the door seals were adequate protection it seems till I can get the gutters installed.

I was concerned that the doors would "weep" at the hinges because I had not placed any weather stripping between the two hinge halves to seal. May not need to do that except for "drafts". Anyone else weather strip between the hinge halves?

Still in One Peace but slightly altared, ;)

Geron,
I don't know if I ever told you this or not... but my kids even love the sorghum.
I only use it when we go camping, putting it on cornbread. I meant to try it in a batch of beans in place of brown sugar, but I forgot to take it out of the fridge before we left to go camping...
Thanks Again for turning me on to that stuff. I'm glad you're back and that must have made you feel pretty good when you opened up the door and found a dry teardrop.
