I hope that wet spot on the drive isn't from the Contour

I always buy used cars and I bought a rental car once, a '95 Taurus that just wouldn't die. I drove it 4 years and sold it for more than I paid for it. Good luck with it.

Haha, no, that's about 6 months worth of power steering leaks from my old truck...

bg,
At least you didn't do what I did... I bought a '51 Willys PU and I shoulda waited until the teardrop was finished before even doing anything like that.
It's not even on the radar screen yet as far as projects go.
So is this going to set your teardrop build back any?
BTW-If that has a 4.2L V-6, shoot me a PM ASAP.

It'll set me back 2-3 months on the tear.... but I should make Pamplin with little trouble.
No V6, just a 2.0 I-4

BG, I had a 98 Contour SE once. I loved that car. It was silver and had the 6 cyl, auto, sun roof, and power windows/locks. And was comfortable and fun to drive. MIne was totaled in a 6-car pile up on the infamous Woodrow Wilson bridge over the Potomac on the Capitol Beltway (I-95/495) in 2000. My old Nissan Pickup had 250K miles on it at that time, so rather than buy another Contour, I replaced the truck with my '00 Frontier. It's too bad Ford quit making the Contour as it was a really nice car. The reason they did quit making them was because it was a better designed and built car than the larger Taurus, it cost almost as much produce and sell, so most buyers chose the Taurus as it gave them more (NOT better) car for their money. Poor sales meant death for the model despite being a better car. It was, and still is, sold in Europe as the Mondeo.

Ford still makes the Contour. They just don't ship them here anymore. Overseas, it is called the Mondeo.

Ford never did import the wagon version as a Contour, but it sold in Europe. I liked it.
