HURRICANE RITA IN LAKE CHARLES

Postby nubwon » Wed Nov 23, 2005 7:44 am

Most people have no idea how bad hurricane rita was. All the newscasts talked about was how it affected Houston and New Orleans. The entire Louisiana coast suffered either from the wind, or storm surge, as did parts of southeastern Texas. I will attempt to show some pictures of what it did to Lake Charles. South of here was completely wiped out, but no one has heard about that because the people in this area didn't wait for what the government was going to do for us. We all got up, dusted off our butts, and got busy rebuilding our lives.

Was that your tear harsly moved in last couple of shots?

We had some on TV here this morning, so many people expect everything to be handed to them, so many people think everything is someone elses responsibility

Nub,

Glad you and yours made thru OK. That's the important thing...all the property can be repaired or replaced.
