Theme is Summertime vacation/road trip/attractions.

Since many of us will be, or just have taken a vacation, there should be plenty of pictures to share...

Good idea Rob..

Monday night out in Galena we had a huge storm. It dropped about 4" of rain with straight line winds. Trees down all over town and power outages. About 8:30 it let up. I took the opportunity to take the dog out. This was the sunset with a full rainbow. Picture quality is not that good but all I had was a point n shoot.

Didn't mean to imply that this was a contest. But these photos did not meet my personal standards. When I walked out and saw how beautiful it was outside I got excited. The pictures did not match my excitement, that's all.

Couple of weeks ago Lenora & I drove the Natchez Trace Parkway from SW MS to Nashville, TN. Spent a week on the pkwy with the TD. Very enjoyable, lots of history...

These pix are from the Meriwether Lewis campground/monument on the Natchez Trace Parkway in Tennessee, near the town of Hohenwald. Meriwether Lewis of Lewis & Clark fame, died there in 1809, & is buried on the grounds. Great campground & interesting historical information
