Finland gained it's independence from Russia on this day in 1917. (December 6th)

Heikki & Suvi...I have been reading up on Finnish history(recent) and it very, very interesting...I hope y'all have a great holiday...I know over here we celebrate Independence Day with a fevor...parades, bar-b-ques, ice cream socials and fireworks...so Happy Independence Day to you

thoughts... Suvi and I are very proud to have you folks think of us and our Lil Country of Finland..
And yes our Independence Day - Our forefathers fought hard back then to become free.. so we do take pride in this day..and honor the ones who
fought very hard in order to become free.

As any other country should as well..

As a small country we do take the meaning of freedom seriously.. and to have always kept friendly ties with other nations..
