HI folks I am back on line

Postby Ron Dickey » Tue Dec 06, 2005 1:07 pm

I was gone for a while closed my account with earthlink and came back on with fastermac.net but I think it is slower ... but cheeper.

I have had a harder year then usual and it will get worse then much much better.
I have not lost my Job but and end of Feb. Mervyn's will be taking away all of my benifits. health, sick days, vacation, personal days.
I want to take my time and research my way out of retail. And start to grow again. One good thing I can collect some of my retirement now and keep my discount. I Have been with them for 22 years.
Maybe I should become a used teardrop salesman.
I am a trained photographer but want it as part of my Job. Otherwise I will join the ranks of Selfemployed.
Anyone know of any good healthplans I hear AARP has one.

Ron

Hi Ron Welcome Back!
You know, what this country needs in national health insurance that is affordable. I had to drop my health insurance when my wife started back to school to get her Phd this year. 1st time since I started working I don't have health insurance. But the $500 plus a month for the "denial of care" plan I had just wasn't an option anymore.

Anyway, it's nice to have the poll master back in action!

Have you considered moving to Canada? How about Germany?

I think government sponsored health care is going to happen here someday. The question is when.

I think we can all see the writing on the wall. Escalating costs, out of control insurance claims, fortune 500 companies no longer willing to support the health care portion of their benefits... etc...

The Clintons couldn't do it. George just doesn't care... but someday... someone...

Mike...

Hmmm.... was that one of those "love it or leave it" comments?

Lived in Germany for a while, not too bad. Almost crossed the Chekoslavakian border one night in a blizzard, I'm sure Komrad would have been upset, but that's another story.... Speaking of blizzards..Think I'll wait for Hillary on the health insurance.... in the mean time, maybe Florida will freeze over too!!
