Those airstream cost as much as my house did
. Except for being so close to the neighbor, the sad part is, the quality of construction is probably better.
If it were just me, and not my wife and dog, I can see some big advantages... Forced simplicity and flexibility being the two that pop to mind. The down side, nothing but a depreciating asset....although in 2008 even my stick built home wasn't doing that. We'll see now (the for sale sign went up last week) if we can have any ROI.
Being mobile, I would be concerned about finding a place to park every night...lot rent could be more than my house payment is now...easily...and I don't think I'd want to live in your standard "trailer park".
