Busy down here in the Southeast

Postby ALAN GEDDES » Thu Jan 05, 2006 7:13 pm

It is amazing how the South Eastern group has grown and all in just a little over a year and a half. We are already scheduling Third Annual gatherings. There are SEVEN scheduled getogethers on line for 2006 so far. Not everyone will make all of them but each time we have one or two new Tears, dreamers and a lot of lookers. The word is spreading. We have made it into the Newspaper two years in a row at Myrtle Beach SC and that brought some interested folks to the campground. If you are having a meet try and get the press interested. It helps the interest to spread. My hat is off to everyone who has attended one of our gathering and an invitation is out to all who have not had the fun yet. And thanks to Mike without whom none of this would have been possible. :applause: :applause:

RAH RAH RAH

Alan is completely correct, TEARDROPPERS are a great group of people.

And especially Mike, he has been a great friend and mentor to me since meeting him from Teardroptimes 4 years ago. Drove 1 1/2 hours just to show his Cubby to someone he had never met. Thank You Mike for your friendship, and also the leadership you have given this fine group of people.  :applause: :applause:

Nitemoves,
Is that a 59 Chevy? Man I love those cars, that one will make a cool tow vehicle.

S4son Not a '59 but a '60, just like the Seger song Nightmoves..."Out past the corn fields where the woods got heavy.Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy." Yeah bud, it will my tow vehicle for the Tear drop when completed. A buddy of mine said 'get a hitch for the Impala,be a heck of a puller'. Thanks for noticing it Scott.

NM44, Love the Impala. Check out the gatherings forum at the bottom of main page and keep abreast of whats going on in your area. No memberships in groups or requirement to have a tear. Just go have some fun.

Man, this is killing me. There's no way I'm going to be close to ready by then. Plus, we're going to Disney Jan. 20th through the 23rd. (Whoopee, we're going for the 26th time.)

So no TD ready...and broke. Plus, I hear they raised the price of a small Coke at Disney to $6.95.

I know--a lot of excuses, but I WILL finish this thing eventually and actually be able to enjoy it.

In the meantime, for that trip up to Disney, can Dale and Bob Hilo meet me on the Florida Turnpike at their respective exits with a few cans of cold Budweiser? I'm going to need them.

Ira,
You should try to make it to Talbot. It will be fun and meet all the other teardroppers. Plus there will be plenty of ice cold Budwieser there for you.
Heck if you come I'll buy you all the beer you can drink at Talbot

Aw, don't worry about it Ira, don't you drink beer? But then again, beer is probably $10.00 now. The admission price also went up. Let's see, a family of four for 3 days playing with Mickey. Oh brother, at least $500. :? And I think that is if your lucky.

Have a good day.

Weasel, Alan what a small world. I just traded my S-10 for a 81 C-10 short bed 350 auto. needs a little tlc and am looking for a fair deal on interior parts. As well as a few other items.. eBay is a little high in my opinion on some of the things I'm searching for.
