Sad day for Estonia

Died Lennart Meri, our first new era president of Estonia from 1992 to 2001.

Lennart Georg Meri (March 29, 1929 - March 14, 2006), was a writer, film maker and politician.Meri was the leader of the independence movement.
He was very loved and honoured.

Maybe some of you know about him, he was well known in world.

I didnt really now of him until reading you links, but it look's like he did a great deal for his country and so he will be remembered for his good works.

...our founding fathers died off 200 years ago and we forget that some countries FF are still here because they have only recently begun to enjoy some of the freedoms we have...Pedaal, you and your country have my sympathies for losing such a great man in your country...

You gotta be right--but I can't believe you figured that out.

Did Jack go back and edit that post after the fact to include those words in that sentence? I didn't have a DROP of Bud by that time, and I either totally missed it or something weird just happened.

Meelis our condolences go out to All in Estonia... Lennart Meri was loved by All of us here in Finland... He will be missed.

Personification of Estonian independence had strong ties to Finland


Estonia's former President Lennart Meri died at the age of 76 of a serious illness early Tuesday morning.
Meri served as Estonia's President from 1992 to 2001. Before that he briefly served as Estonia's Foreign Minister and its Ambassador to Finland in 1992.

Our simpathy to the people of Estonia. The world has lost a great Ambassador and example for freedom loving people around the world.

President Meri will be remember for the great man he was. I hope his example continues.
