Postby Gerald_G » Thu Jun 15, 2006 12:31 am

Found this pre-historic trailer while searching google for images. I thought I'd share with group in case anyone is looking for a theme for their new build :-)

Can't get image to come up - so providing link....

Wow, looks pretty good with that Line-X coating on it..
I wonder what kind of rock he used, maybe basalt, could be limestone, but that don't bend well.
are those 8 inch wheels?

Typical teardrop builder.......started it a few thousand years ago, still doesn't have the windows in.

I hear he expects to have it finished though for Pamplin Grove.

I remember that one. It used to belong to either Fred or Barney.

The tow vehicle looks underpowered for that puppy. I would avoid those odd size wheels too!

It's definately a low-rider, as anyone can see.
Chris :D

The tension between what is good enough and what is beyond that creates the space for character to become our work.

I think it was built on a prototype Harbor Freight trailer.

Here's another very old teardrop. It's a softtop with the top down but all the elements of a teardrop are there. Check out the galley

If it had cart wheels, instead of tires, you'd think it was a chuck wagon, on a trail ride, or wagon train !!
