Id like to try to find out...

Is the cab on a 37 Chevrolet 1/2 ton Truck the same as on a 36 or 38?

Best wishes

What do you think Fin? The hood line looks different but the rear fenders look the same. Pretty close match between a '37 and a '38. ;)

Me, I'm a Ford guy. But I do have '37 Chevy truck fenders on my tear. ;)

Have a good day.

Good job on posting those Gage!!! I'd be more than willing to bet that the front clip was the big difference, however the side window on the 36 appears to be taller than on the 37 and 38 ... I'm more used to the 49-53 pickup trucks...a couple of careful measurements or a chat with some of the old truck guys on the Chev. truck forum might help..I'd bet 37 and 38 are interchangeable...but not with the 36..Doug

I'm not certain about the trucks, but the '37 and '38 cars are exactly the same except for the grill, hood, hood sides, headlights, and center nose piece. All other body parts are interchangeable.

Yep, not knowing the measurements. It looks to me that you could take either cab ( 37/38 ) and attach either the '37 or '38 front body work to it.

Thank You Gage

I was told that the 37 and 38 cab are interchangeable but I dont really know if the 36 would be anymore...

The 2nd photo is what ours look like...

If any of you gentleman run into a decent 37 1/2 ton Cab would you please let me know...

The one on ours will take many many hours to get it looking nice but on the positive side .... Thats the main thing to do.. Chassis has all been done..Tranny Workin and The Box will be brand new... The engine will be a newly redone 235... The Grill on a 37 car is shorter than the truck...

And the 235 is plenty here .. I dont want to stop off at every gas station ..

Classic Finn

PS Gage nice photos..I noticed that the fenders you have are 37,s - Real Sweet looking...

Finn...Is there anything you don't fuss with???? I'm thinking you ought to just move into a double-wide trailer here in Alaska near Tok, AK (much warmer than you are used to), buy a pack of sled dogs, set up a hydroponic garden, try trapping, set up an illicit correspondence school entitled "Harvard, Northern Campus", buy a mobile deep pit pig roster for competion events, open a "high end" Finnish furniture shop in Fairbanks, race snowmobiles, ski to the North Pole, and finally...use that camper to see the state...Juneaudave
