To recharge a 12v car battery in my cargo/camper trailer. Generally it would be sitting all day in partial shade/sun and the trailer would only get use at night. The usage would be quite minimal: a few LED lights, maybe a 12v fan for a short time if it particularly hot, maybe running a 12v water pump for a quick shower.

Thoughts?

Sounds like a plan, except for the car battery  You need a true deepcycle battery and shading it will really kill current production you might want to consider making the panel dismountable.

Here in the northeast camping spots tend to be forested...

Is the watt output to cost ratio good?

You might do better on ebay but it seems reasonable. I made a mistake when I bought our used 185W panel as it is meant for a grid tie system and is high voltage. this necessitated a MPPT controller that could handle the voltage and the Morningstar SunSaver MPPT worked. One of the unintended consequences is that this produces usable current under low light conditions. It will get the acid test this summer with eight days sitting on the north shore of lake Superior in a shaded camp site.
