Is my battery ok?

I have A Del tran battery tender Junior. The light on it is continually red At this point. The batteries been plugged in for a few days and the greatest charge I can get from it is 11.8 V. The charger is eventually supposed to stop being a solid red and turned to green but he hasn't done that. How do i test to make sure my battery is okay? I've only had the battery for one season I used it on my trolling motor last year and kept it on the battery tender all winter.

IF your battery will not get past 11.8 volts, you either have a defective charger or a dead cell in battery... Might have battery tested at auto repair or parts place to see if its really battery....

MIght put charger across known good battery (in your car) to see if it will go from red to green(?)....

Thank you for those two tips. I will try it out on my car battery tomorrow and then take my current battery to the auto parts store to test it.
