Wiring tow vehicle

Postby JohnnyG » Fri Jun 14, 2013 11:43 pm

I just ordered the wire kit for my 2004 Camry from Etrailer. I figured out which wire is which on the car. Do I need to be concerned that the wires on the car are way skinnier than the wires on the kit? Should I go ahead and connect them according to instructions?

It should be ok, was it the one designed for your car?

I'm betting that you have led tail lights. They don't use much electric.

If so your wiring kit is a converter that uses a power supply from the battery to power the trailer lighting. The wires you are connecting are sensors that tell the converter what to do. :)
