Outside connector for 12v comming from battery

I need a 12v connector/receptacle to get power in from the battery. I know I could just run the wires directly and silicone everything up, but for my application, I need to be able to plug directly into the side of the trailer. I know Marinco makes a 12v connector, but it is the cigarette type. Highest wattage cigarette plug I can find is 15A which isn't enough.

Because of the thin walls on my CT conversion, I did a setup using standard 1/4" phone plug and jack. http://www.tnttt.com/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=51193&start=15#p950448 and use a weatherproof outlet cover .

The 12 VDC is coming off of the converter inside my trailer. I have easily operated a portable electric cooler off of the outlet, as well as a number of other 12 VDC items. The system has been in place about a year now, and seems to be holding up well. A plus is that there are several accessories for RVs that work off of the same kind of plug such as fans, extension lights, etc.

Additionally, if you have modified your cord ends, it cuts down on people borrowing your stuff

If it is only for up to 30 Amps, then use a standard RV-7 trailer wiring connector. It'll likely be your low cost option, and replacements are available everywhere. Just hookup the Aux/Battery charge pin to the positive on the battery, place a fuse at the battery. Hook the battery ground to the ground pin on the connector. If you need more current than 30 Amps, look for flange mount Anderson Powerpole connectors, and get a standard RV electrical entrance door to cover it against the elements.
