I thought so too when I started... Not enough potential.

There was no extension cord hooked up and all the 110 was dead in the trailer.
It was just a little tingle that stopped when I cleaned his connector.
I hate to admit I spent an hour looking for the problem before I cleaned that connector. :oops:

They have since traded up to a bigger one.

I've felt 12V "shocks" before. It happens.

Completed the grounding and wire routing as described in the previous posts.

Result: working trailer lights and battery system.

All concealed three way taps were done with solder and liquid tape. Other connections were done with crimped heat shrink butt connectors. I still have to wire the hatch but I plan to make the wiring accessible through removable panels in the hatch, so I am less worried about using wire nuts and things like that in the hatch.

Thanks to everyone that offered my advice on this. And a I had a couple buddies help with soldering...
