Fantastic fan, not so fantastic

Postby SalsaDog » Sun Aug 02, 2015 4:53 pm

I purchased a 1250 Fantastic fan for our cct. The motor makes a low dull clicking sound. The noise is coming from
inside the motor housing. Has anyone else experienced this?

No. Try running it in reverse direction and see if it still ticks. Could be a brush if it uses a brush type motor. Just off hand I do not know if it uses brushes or is brushless.

Just call Fantastic Fan. They're a great company and they really stand behind their products. One way or another they'll make it right for you.

I did call Fantastic, the man said it was normal. BS My carrier involved motor control and automation. A brushed
motor should not click. I just needed to know if anyone else's fan motor clicked before I call back and talk to some
one who knows something about motors. Thanks

That's surprising as I've had great experiences with them. Did you talk to Fantastic vent or the re-seller?

Ours made the noise when new, went away after 10 or so hours of use.
