Solar charge controller analysis paralysis

I ave been using one of these for the last 4 years and couldn't be happier. I have had no issues and a lightning strike to the pole my 100 watt solar panel is mounted to. http://www.ebay.com/itm/30-Amp-Provista ... xy4~BSSb6-

I don't see any mention of that controller being suitable for a lithium battery system. Did I miss something?

Seriously though, at 12v, that's only 2x the size of a Powerwall, which sells for $3600 ... I must be missing something.
