I am currently building out a 32 ft gooseneck toy hauler to do some traveling in. I also have a tee shirt and embroidery business that will travel with me....hence the 50 amp service.
I will have a propane/electric fridge...gas hot water heater....1 ac unit ..microwave...coffee pot ...and a shirt press (15 amp) in the back when I am printing shirts...
I also plan to have all led 12v lights and a few usb outlets and of course a couple of power vents.
Also a couple of 6v batteries in series.
I would like to be able to overnight while traveling and have all the comforts just using my batteries. I realize I could not use the ac or anything that would require shore power, but that's ok.
A few questions:
Do campgrounds charge more for the 50 amp spots?
How available is 50 amp service on the road?
Is it more economical to wire in a house panel and a converter and battery charger for my 12v stuff.. ? or to go with one of the all in one Progressive units?
Anyone done this?
A little background......I am a retired home builder and Lionel train collector, so I have lots of electrical experience with wiring 240, 120, and 12v dc.
I posted this here (even though it's not a tiny trailer) because it looks like this gang has a good electrical section with a lot of member participation.
Thanks in advance...........Tim
