Deep Cycle Battery usage

Can any one out there tell me where to find a usage chart so I can estimate how long my battery will last?

The general rule of thumb is that you shouldn't draw more than 50% of your batteries rated capacity before recharging it. I visited the site above and it calculated the life of a battery by discharging 70% of it's capacity. This would result in degraded battery life.

You can figure out your draw (amps X hours) for what you want to run, add them up, and compare to 50% of your batteries rated capacity.

Hey Gus, that's the general rule for normal batteries, deep discharge can handle up to 80% discharge and still give good life. AGM, Gel etc type discharge are actually designed to handle greater loss than your normal lead acid.

If we don't bicker, no one learns anything. So now we need to know what type of battery cannon253 is using as the discharge level can range from 50 to 80 percent. Once we know, we can give better advice. It would also help to know the discharge rate as it, too, is a factor in the "equation".
