If you are talking about the WFCO, run a ground wire from the grounding block to the frame. This is actually depicted in the wiring diagram.

For anyone using the WFCO converters.... pay attention to the wires exiting the box. On my unit (8725), a couple wires were badly pinched by the clamp they use to hold them in place. Over time, vibration would have likely caused a short.

Sonetpro's diagram helped me understand the confusing instructions that came with my WFCO converter. With that diagram, I got it all figured out and working (in 2006).

My new trailer may not have a converter. I may just install a marine type onboard computerized charger that is powered on and working anytime I have shore power connected to my separate AC circuits. It's simpler to install and does practically the same job. I'll install my breakers in a breaker box in my rear mounted shore cable box on the tongue. The battery, fuse block and charger will be in the other storage box on the tongue, so no breakers or fuses will actually be inside the cabin.

This info is for everyone. I am an electrician and there is a section in the NEC (National Electric Code) that deals with campers. All metal frames need to be connected (bonded)to the negative side of your electric service.

The WFCO converter has a ground block that is grounded to the chassis. With only a 12VDC system, I would not use a frame ground.
