What are you going to do with 3000 watts for only 15 minutes. Then how are you going to recharge the units?

Battery power is viable for light loads and the slower the discharge of the battery, the better.

I suggest you "pass" on these.

Cheers,

Gus

My feeling
A. over priced
B. under powered

These have only a 60 amp hour AGM battery, and as with other deep cycle batteries you do not want to draw them down more than about 50% or you shorten the battery life.
For $1150 (including shipping) you could have a LOT more capacity be able to monitor the batteries and have more flexability.

that was kind of my opinion as well but I figured it would be best to see what others thought so now I'm thinking for a little extra juice I might keep a battery bank in my truck so I can charge it when on short runs as well as when towing

I have thought about one of these or even a smaller version. Now I am thinking of building my own self contained unit using a 80 Ah wheelchair battery and Xantrex 1750 watt inverter, both of which I already have. These would be built into a box that woul be kept in the trunk and a simple extension cord used for power to the TD. 12V power will be a seperate U1 battery kept in my very small trailer. Thats the plan or idea anyway...coments?

I like the idea of building your own I was thinking of a few ideas like that one was to put what I refer to as an Umbilical cord that would be a spare battery bank in my tow vehicle so if you have to do a quick errand just disconnect drive recharge come back and plug back in the other is I want to get my dog to pull a cart with a battery in it and dynamo rims but that would be good for him to.......
