turn/stop/tail light wiring - which part should blink ?

Postby tcolar » Sun Mar 20, 2011 9:30 pm

I've got this kind of turn/stop/tail lights:

Question is : when signaling, is the "big circle" part suppose to blink, or just the "little square" on the side.

Trying to wire it correctly and not sure which is correct ... I feel the whole circle blinking is best but want to double check.

the side light is a running light, though it can be wired to blink as well...another running light would then need to be added though, or that one modified to a 2 filimant bulb

the "big circle" lens is the brake/turn signal, and a running light

Question:
turn/stop/tail light wiring - which part should blink ?.

Answer: the bulb.

If, for example, a mounting screw or the housing blinks, then you have seriously mis-wired it.
