ac/dc installation

I am at the point of installing electrical. I have looked at many posts (maybe I missed "the one"), but I am hoping to install both shore power and 12v. I have many questions. First I am planning on installing the shore power with 12/2 romex. The shore power will power the outlets. When I am not on shore power, I will be on a 12v system.

So here is the first of the newbie questions.

Question #1
during installation, can the 12v system tie into the romex, thus powering the same outlets? or do I need to wire seperate 12v outlets?

I guess I will wait for a response, before I get to far ahead of myself.

12V DC system and 120V AC system (shore power) do not "play well" together there for must be kept separated...

Baaaaaaaad idea. Any number of things might happen if you don't manage the transition correctly and lead to the possible award of a "Darwin Award".

Keep em entirely separate.
