Postby jerry101jlh » Fri May 27, 2011 2:19 pm

We have a 2011 Little Guy Silver Shadow and are considering installing a tv. I think that a side mount antenna best. Anybody have any ideas or antennas that fit this configuration to point me to? If this is addressed elsewhere on the forum I didn't see it, so apologize if it is. Thanks for any help and/or ideas.

I mounted my redneck antenna on a pole attached to the tongue box using quick grips:

Jerry, I found a mini HDTV antenna on Ebay, It works really well Model GE 24769 Outdoor Antenna for Digital HDTV Futura, I have updated my Album showing my install, It comes with everthing you will need, adjustable antenna mount, power amplifier that will need to be wired for best reception, I hard wired mine into the 12V house batteries so I didn't use the supplied 110V AC power supply as it generates 12V DC. I hooked this antenna up to my 23 Inch LCD, LED Flat screen in my work shop concrete walls filled with rebar steel roll up main door witch was closed, now I usually have very week car sterio reception in the shop but when I did a channel scan with my HDTV I was amaised having 11 crystal clear HD channels, Check out the reviews on this antenna. Good luck on your project.

I bought a couple of these Terk HDTVa antennas and they work really well and it has one of the best reviews. It's an amplified uhf/vhf indoor antenna. I'll eventually use one in my camper when I get done with it.
