Help with wiring fantastic fan

Postby Aaron Coffee » Tue Aug 23, 2011 7:34 pm

I took my fantastic fan apart to paint it(it's second hand so its kind of grungy), i took the in/out switch off only disconnected the white black wires from the fan, now I don't know if I got the switch in the same direction as before so I don't know if my marks are still correct. Also the main power wires are white and black which is power and which is ground?

This is the back of the in/switch. It is the two terminals in the middle that I am questioning. The white wire that connects here goes to the switch that shuts it off when the lid is closed, and the black wire (may be dark blue) that connects here goes to the fan motor.
Thanks
Aaron
If I could shut my brain off, I could save myself alot of time, money and effort.

Just check it. Pop the hood on your car and touch the wires to the battery terminals, if it runs backwards, poarity is reversed. Check switch function while you're at it.
